DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Sioux County High School is located in Harrison, Nebraska (population 210) in the Northwest corner of the panhandle of Nebraska, 13 miles from Wyoming and 20 miles from South Dakota. Harrison is the county seat and the only town in the county. This county high school serves the sixth largest county in area in Nebraska. It is a small class D-2 high school with approximately 30 students. Sioux County is a remote rural area with ranching being the main economy of the county. Approximately, 1/2 of the students live in Harrison and 1/2 live on ranches. The school building is approximately 55 years old, well-maintained, and spacious. Visitors often remark about the pride the students have in their school because of its great appearance. We have had a 100% graduation rate for several years running. We support a 1:1 lap top initiative.
