The Ord Public School District is located in Valley, Custer, Garfield and Greeley counties and covers 288.5 square miles. We operate 8 bus routes that travel approximately 850 miles daily. A Class 3 district, Ord is fully accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools and the State of Nebraska. Strong leadership, a never ending work ethic, and the ability to make use of available resources are characteristics of the community that are instilled into the culture of the student body. Built in 1970, Ord Elementary was designed around the concept of a single room school house. The open teaching environment creates a learning atmosphere that fosters strong relationships, inclusive teaching practices, and promotes collaboration among teachers and students.
