DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Blair High School offers a comprehensive curriculum and programs to meet the needs of the students using an alternating-day block schedule. Blair High School provides a practical sequence of studies for students that challenges each student to the fullest. A wide range of college prep, vocational, and general courses are offered. Students can select from over 145 courses, 24 clubs and organizations, and 16 athletic teams as part of a well-rounded total educational program. Built in 1970, the 140,000 square-foot building sits on 75 acres of land. In 2006, a $6.3 million bond issue was approved to add an instrumental room, auxiliary gym, wresting practice room, and a new atrium. Student population is 700 plus students. A dedicated and experienced faculty is the cornerstone of the educational program. The staff consists of 50 full and part-time teachers, 3 administrators, media specialist, technology coordinator, psychologist, nurse, and 3 guidance counselors.
