DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


Fort Calhoun Jr-Sr High School is a 7-12 facility located at 5876 County Road P43, Fort Calhoun, NE. Our town is on Nebraska Highway 75 approximately 10 miles north of Omaha. All facilities and programs in the District meet Rule 10 accreditation set by NDE. In addition, the Fort Calhoun Community School system has AdvancEd accreditation and is a 7-12 one-to-one iPad school. Fort Calhoun is C1 for interscholastic activities under the NSAA. School colors are orange/black and our mascot is the Pioneer. With safety as one of the main focuses, an addition was was completed and occupied in 2015-16 providing additional space including more for Fine Arts, Robotics, activities/sports, food service, offices, parking, and accessibility. In addition the existing building had major renovations to add classrooms, Industrial Ed space, modernized gym space, and to revamp the campus. Since completed, all classes are able to meet "under one roof". All facilities are now "buzz in" for safety.
