DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Wayne Elementary School is a comprehensive public educational institution that serves grades kindergarten - 6th. A comprehensive and integrated approach to education is offered with whole class, cooperative group, and individual activities for all students. A highly qualified and veteran staff instruct students in the areas of English and Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Physical Education, Music, Library Skills, Art and Technology. Wayne Elementary School is accredited through the Cognia - NCA System Accreditation process. The school-wide goal is improve reading comprehension and was identified by staff using several sources of data including Nebraska State assessments, NWEA-MAP assessments, and the RTI/MTSS process. With an outstanding high quality staff, tremendous support from parents and community, and an involved and engaged Wayne Elementary Booster Club, Wayne Elementary School provides students with a safe and fun learning environment.
