Wakefield High School is a progressive 7-12 school providing an objectives based education to a diverse student population. The number of students that live in poverty is 57.4% Pre-K-12. Students demographics reflect 50% Hispanic ethnicity and 50% Caucasian population. A highly qualified teaching staff is committed to meeting the learning needs of all students. Comprehensive curricular and co-curricular programs provide excellent learning opportunities for all students. Support programs are available for students with disabilities, ELL programing as well as advanced level courses. Technology is being integrated into the instructional and learning process. A 1:1 iPad initiative affords 7-12 students infused technology learning opportunities. 97% of 2016 WHS graduates are enrolled in a post-secondary education program. Well maintained facilities add to the positive school learning environment. A strong level of parent & community support exists for the high school.
