DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Wheeler County is home to two small communities, Bartlett and Ericson, as well as many ranches and farms. Most of Wheeler Central's students and staff call the country their home. The high school is spread over three buildings, all located in Bartlett. For the 2022-23 academic year there were 44 students in grades 7-12. There are 10 certified staff that serve the 7-12 student population on either a full or part time basis. In addition to the 250 credit graduation requirement the secondary curriculum also utilizes direct instruction, online instruction, distant learning and a variety of dual credit courses through various colleges. We are also a member of the Northern Tier Consortium, a group of five schools that act as one large school system to write one School Improvement plan.
