McCool Junction Public Schools is located just south of the I-80 and HWY 81 intersects. The district is a K-12 district with approximately 285 students and 23 certified staff members including a superintendent and principal. In grades 7-12 there are approximately 135 students with an average class size of 20 students. Students have an opportunity to participate in any of the following extra-curricular activities: volleyball, football, cross country, basketball, wrestling, bowling, track, speech, drama, FFA, FBLA, and FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes).
